The Hub Steering Group has been successful in securing a site meeting with representatives from the Big Lottery Community Assets Fund on December 20th. This meeting will enable the funders to find out more about the proposal and whether the project meets the criteria to make it eligible to secure funding. We have been informed that there has been a great deal of interest in this particular funding stream with around 400 enquiries.

In the meantime, we are in the process of formalising the structure of the Hub Steering Group as a legal entity and have had discussions with the Rifle Club Trustees about transferring the land, if and when the funding for the project is successful.

This time last year the team were planning the Community Enterprise consultation event as part of the feasibility study, so the New Year seems an appropriate time to bring people together to talk about what might happen next and how you can get involved. We will also take the opportunity to launch activities such as the Argyll Arts Collective and Community Gardening .
