Meet the Trust

Introduction

Lochgoil Community Trust was originally set up to be able to access lottery money which was not an option available to Community Councils as they were a part of local government. The Trust continues to access a range of grants which it distributes for the benefit of the community and directly manages a range of community development projects.

Examples

  • A new River Walk path completed with a grant from Scottish Natural Heritage
  • Developed the children’s play park in the Arboretum
  • In partnership with Ardroy Outdoor Education Centre, developed The Squirrel Walk at Cormonachan
  • With a donation of land from Lochgoil Rifle Club, developed Lochgoilhead Park and Gardens
