Rest and be Thankful Bus Stop – Updates
Iain MacInnes, Chair of the Loch Goil Community Council, gave a report at the Community Council meeting held on 14 August based on a recent review meeting he had with all parties involved with the coordinating of this amenity.
A full report will be included in the minutes to be posted on this community website.
These are the main points:
Passenger numbers
Using the bus stop from the 22nd May to the 14th July 2017 were:
153 passengers which were made up of 71 pre-booking and 82 paying on the day.
Winter service
There will be no winter service at this stop from November to the end of February. Reason being safety fears due to ice when leaving the stop.
Feeder bus connection scheduling
Garelochhead coaches will alter their time table for Saturdays and school holidays to make for a better connection with the West Coast service to Glasgow. This will then give a connection service into Glasgow in the morning and returning at night.
