This blog article by Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park describes a project led by Community Trust volunteers (Jane Kemp in particular), working with the Argyll Fisheries Trust, to install ‘green revetments’ on a section of the River Goil. Following the success of the project, further sections of bank repairs will be carried out over coming years.
Projects like these help to raise the profile of the community within the National Park, demonstrate our ability to deliver sizeable projects, and help to attract external funding. No community funds were spent on this project.
