River Walk Path – Update as of 20 October

Update

As we approach the final stages in the construction of our River Walk path, it is as important as ever to avoid the area, despite the inviting views of the developing path as it winds through the woodland. It is of course still a construction site, with heavy machinery in use, but this phase will also be particularly sensitive to pedestrian damage as a layer of sealing ‘dust’ is applied and compacted over the base layer of stone. We will shortly be announcing a formal opening day, where residents and visitors alike will be most welcome to be among the first to walk our beautiful new path. Thank you for your continued cooperation, patience and encouragement!

“The construction of our new River Walk Path begins on Monday 8th October. Our contractor will be using the Forestry service road (on the right of the B839 when exiting the village), for the storage of equipment and materials. The service road has been temporarily cordoned-off until works fencing is erected. Please avoid parking or walking in the area for the duration of the project, which we expect to be completed in approximately 5 weeks. We look forward to the opening of this lovely new walk at some time in November. Thank you for your understanding.
