Dear community member
As per previous conversations, LGCC has applied for an extension of time to submit its
response as a formal consultee in relation to planning application 2022/0349/DET:
The National Park is supportive of granting an extension but needs to seek agreement from
the applicant.
If our extension is granted, LGCC will have until the end of February to submit its response.
However, if the extension is not granted a response must be submitted by 3rd February.
Irrespective of whether LGCC receives an extension as a formal consultee, public comments
must be submitted by 3rd Feb.
We have therefore decided to hold a special meeting on Friday 27th January at 7pm in the
Village Hall. You can also join the meeting on zoom (link below).
The objective will be to ensure the community and LGCC are as informed as possible about
the application and its pros and cons. Cove Communities will be in attendance to present on
the application and take questions. We would also like to offer other members of the
community the chance to speak / present formally. If you have particular expertise, or wish to
speak on behalf of a particular group in the community, please contact us by emailing
lochgoilcommunity@gmail.com and give details including how long you’d like to speak.
Please note there will be plenty of opportunity for questions and general comments from the
floor during the session, this additional option is for those who wish to make more formal /
prepared comments and is designed to ensure various perspectives are given equal
opportunity to be aired in the meeting.
