The team met at the start of May and worked on a plan to break down the project into manageable chunks so that we can focus on a couple of the ideas – the Community Garden and Business support/shared workspace.
Community Garden
We hope to hold an event at the end of August, ideally on the Rifle Club site, which will be an opportunity both for some practical activity and to consult with those of you who are interested in growing produce. More news to follow once we’ve firmed up our ideas.
Business
We are considering options to fund broadband for the Village Hall which would make it more attractive to use as a shared workspace. We would love to hear from anyone who would be interested in renting space for a day or half day per week.
Other projects
Just because we have selected these two areas to focus on, it doesn’t mean that we are abandoning the other ideas that the community have said that we need, particularly a café. However, as the cafe is likely to be the most complex of the project areas, we are putting it on hold while we try and get the garden and business support up and running. If you feel that you would like to help take the café forward as an earlier priority, then please get in touch.
