Loch Goil Gala Day and Raft Race July 29th 12:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Summer is officially with us and it’s time to look forward to Gala Day, which shares the day with the Annual Raft Race and this year…. the Gala Day Returns to the Village Car Park.
The day promises to be absolutely jam packed with attractions including:
- Craft Fair in Village Hall
- Highland Dancers
- Pipe Band
- Birds of Prey exhibition in car park and flying demo (up at Bowling Club)
- Magic Show and Balloon Sculpture demonstration
- Demonstrations from Police Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue, Woodland Trust, RNLI and more
- Big Cash Raffle
- Barbeque
- Bottle Stall, Teas/Coffees
- Children’s and adult fairground attractions
- Bucking Bronco provided by Argyll Holidays (Goil Inn car park)
- Beer Tent
- Music, Games, and Prizes
The Gala will be open from 12:30 p.m.
Raft Race starts at 1:45 p.m. (juniors) Seniors at 2:00p.m. with prizes awarded around 4:00 p.m.

Grand Prize Draw at 4:15 p.m. Tickets are limited so get yours beforehand from all Wee Goil outlets.
Spectator shade will be provided to ensure respite from the afternoon sun which we hope will be delivered.
There will be a ceilidh in the Village Hall from 8:30 till Late… Tickets on Sale at only £5 but numbers are limited so get yours as soon as possible from Iain MacInnes 01301703250. An evening of Scottish Dance music and Live entertainment. If you enjoy Scots country dancing or fancy learning a couple of dances or indeed just like watching, come along and join us. A raffle will be held on the evening with a bottle of Malt whiskey (Any other donations would be greatly appreciated).
Bar available. Come and have a wee bounce on yer bunions and a wee libation to while away a Summer’s Evening.
All in all, it promises to be a lively day. Entry is free for all the family so please come along and have a great community day out.
