Community Consultation: Loch Long Salmon – 22 October 2020

Loch Long Salmon is a new salmon farming company in Scotland set up to farm salmon exclusively through innovative, semi-closed containment technology designed to capture organic farm waste and eliminate sea lice from the farmed environment.  Loch Long Salmon is developing its first site, Beinn Reithe, in upper Loch Long.

As part of this process Loch Long Salmon is holding a community event to introduce the Beinn Reithe project to the local communities and stakeholders and discuss any concerns in more detail. As part of the planning and CAR licence processes Loch Long Salmon is also inviting the local planning authority and SEPA to the event.

There will be two identical virtual one hour sessions held over Zoom to allow people to attend at a time that is most convenient.  Log in details are below. These events will take place on 22nd October at 10am and 6pm, there will be time for a Q&A session at the end.

We will endeavour to hold an additional face to face event at the Three Villages Hall in Arrochar as soon as restrictions allow and the event can be held safely. When this is confirmed we will reach out to you again with another invitation.

We look forward to seeing you and meeting the wider community at the event.

Best regards / Le dùrachdan,
