Shaping the Future of Lochgoil – Open Day – Saturday 26th August

The Lochgoil Community Action Planning process is now well underway and we would like to thank all of you who took the time to complete the recent household survey. As the next part of the process we will be holding an open day and workshop on Saturday 26th August in the village hall.

As well as a chance to see the things which have been flagged up so far, there will also be a workshop session which will look in more depth how the community could be shaped over next 5 years.

The view of the local Community Partnership steering group is that the workshop will aim to give people the opportunity to go into a lot more detail about how they would like to see Lochgoilhead develop over the next 5 years. We will be looking, among other things, at transport, health and wellbeing, the physical space of the area and how we can best use and change it, the landscape, the economy, the future for our young people, as well as how the community organises itself and celebrates its achievements.”

The hall will be open from 10am with the workshop session running from 11am-1pm. A light lunch will be provided and there will be a chance to network and catch up.

If you would like to attend the workshop please contact Marie Harvey at the Community Partnership 01389 722639/722134 or feel free to come along on the day.
