Beach Clean and Litter Pick
At our last clean in March, volunteers collected over 50 bags of litter as well as a range of larger items. This made a massive difference to the beaches in Loch Goil and Carrick and the roadside in from the Rest and Be Thankful. The roadside clean also raised valuable funds for the Village Hall.
We’re aiming to do even better this time, but it all depends on the number of volunteers who get involved. Why not join in one of the organised cleans, or if the times and locations aren’t convenient, borrow our litter pickers and do your own clean. It could take just an hour of your time and we will count your efforts towards our total.
Hell’s Glen roadside litter pick, Saturday 16th and/or Sunday 17th– times to be confirmed subject to the number of volunteers. We hope to get funding for every mile tidied which will be donated towards Village Hall renovations. Be sure to wear clothing that’s highly visible.
Lochgoilhead beach clean – Sunday 17th 11am -12.30. Meet in the village car park. The beach is due for a mechanised clean at the end of September so the more plastic we can remove, the better.
Drimsynie beach clean – Sunday 17th 1.00-2.30. Meet at the BT box by the golf course.
We have litter pickers and bags but please bring your own gardening or DIY gloves if you can. Wellies and waterproofs recommended.
Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
