One of the winning entries in the 2017 RSPB Calendar Competition
Celebrating local talent.
Congratulations to Lynn Bolt on receiving the news that her photograph of gannets came second in the RSPB competition and will be included in 2017 RSPB Calendar.
This striking portrait of these beautiful birds must have stood out among what would have been a high number of entries.
The calendar is a key product in the RSPB Christmas range and will be sold in all of their reserve and city stores, their online shop and their mail order catalogue.
The gannets featured are two of approximately 8,5000 which breed on the cliffs of Noss, an uninhabited Shetland Island, now a nature reserve. Lynn took the picture from a boat which was able to come right in alongside the cliffs.
Lynn is a resident of Lochgoilhead. After retiring she has devoted much of her time to photography. Her work reflects her love of travel, nature and landscape.
