Neighbourhood Watch SCOTLAND – November Newsletter

A message from Neighbourhood Watch SCOTLAND

Welcome to our Autumn Newsletter.

This latest issue demonstrates the continuing growth of the Neighbourhood Watch network and the levels of activity within a wide range of national and local programmes that aim to deliver safer and more resilient communities.
Autumn and Winter in Scotland can often be challenging and always variable, particularly in terms of the weather. The short days and early darkness can also increase the risk of crime and other forms of harm, such as the more dangerous driving conditions and personal safety when out and about during the festive period. Whilst the chance of you being directly affected by any of these threats remains relatively low there are still some simple steps you can take to further reduce the risk and therefore enjoy a safe and secure Christmas and New Year. A large part of this newsletter is therefore devoted to providing you with advice on reducing these risks.
