Cormonachan Woodlands – New Car Park & Update

Congratulations to all involved at the CWA (Cormonachan Woodlands Association) on their success of raising the funds to have a car park built at the start of the walks. That is not the job over. They have plans to the extend paths, and of course, maintain, this beautiful stretch of natural woodlands overlooking Loch Goil. You can do your bit by becoming a member. It is only £10 a year. Cormonachan Woodlands Car Park is now open but please read on…

The car park was rolled 28th June 2017 but it is still quite soft as it is brand new so please drive slowly over the new surface. The bays have yet to be marked out so please park sensibly in the meantime.

The gates and fencing have yet to be erected – hopefully if we can have enough volunteers to help, it’ll be done over the weekend. The Interpretation panel has yet to arrive but the artwork proof looks great. The entrance sign has yet to be built up and once everything has been done, we will have an official Car Park Opening!

Enjoy walking in the community woodlands!

The circular path around the Squirrel Trail at Cormonachan Woodlands was strimmed on 29th June 2017. The rest of the 2.5 km path has yet to be strimmed but we hope to have this done over the next couple of weeks.
