The Lochgoilhead Golf Club Open Results
31 golfers played in the Lochgoilhead Golf Club Open event on Saturday 30th June in aid of MND Scotland. The weather was perfect and the course was in very good condition. All the golfers were treated to complimentary breakfast rolls, coffee/tea from Argyll Holidays before they teed off. After stocking up on mars bars, snickers, water and coke cola supplied by the club, the golfers played their round of golf. Stableford was the format for the day and the winner was a visitor, Peter Farquarson with a fantastic 40 points. The runner up Danny Butchart with 38 points, after a countback, the Birthday Boy (he kept that quiet) Davey Moffat was awarded 3rd place with a score of 37 points. The fundraising continued in the evening in The Goil Inn, where golfers, friends, family, locals and holiday makers were entertained by the fabulous Goilers. Big thanks to our sponsor, Andy McCunn, Colin Smith, the Greenkeeper, all the golfers, Argyll Holidays, The Goil Inn, The Goilers and everyone for supporting for this great cause, a total of £1,104.48 was raised for MND Scotland.
RNLI Medal Competition & Neville Putting Results
Stewart Lynch was the winner of the RNLI Medal competition on Saturday 7th July with an incredible net score of 53. Neil Hyslop was the winner of the Neville Putting competition played on the same day with a total of 26 putts.
Robin McFeat Texas Scramble Results
Scott Jenkins, Ian Wilkes, Dianne Paton and Ritchie Hopkirk were declared the winner of the Robin McFeat Texas Scramble which was played on Saturday 14th July, with an amazing net score of 51.
2’s recorded were as follows :-
Saturday 30th June – Christian Carvel at 6th, Peter Farquarson at 11th, David Perrit at 13th and James Miller at 16th.

Club Mid-Week Outing
The club’s next mid-week outing on Thursday 23rd August, 2018 is the 25th Anniversary Golf Club outing to West Kilbride Golf Course which is situated on the Ayrshire coast with spectacular views over the Firth of Clyde to the beautiful island of Arran. Breakfast rolls, coffee/tea at 8.45am, tees booked from 9.45am onwards. For a club subsidised special price of £50, Jimmy Gilmour has secured an amazing deal for members which includes a breakfast roll, coffee/tea on arrival, a round of golf and a two course dinner. A round of golf at this quality golf course would normally cost £55.
